Brandt Wille’s Biography

Brandt is an actor turned director, editor and producer. He has made the crossover into directing and film-making. Taking from all his experiences on set as an actor in front of the camera, he has begun to apply the knowledge he has gained behind the camera. He has produced, directed and edited several different projects in the past few years. The constant desire to improve his work has set the foundation for the new business he has created.

Studying under the guidance of several acting coaches including Mr. Howard Fine as helped Brandt develop the skills necessary to understand how to breakdown a script, a scene, and a character.  The skills he developed as a working actor have helped him become a better story teller.. He has a good understanding of how to communicate with actors. Understanding the pace and timing that is needed for a film to be successful is a huge necessity. Having a good sense of timing and pace is a vital part to every film and that is one of his strengths: not only as director and storyteller but also as an editor.

Brandt has many goals in life that he has already obtained but many more he has yet to reach. In order to be successful in life you have to always srive to be better. Each time he takes on a project he wants to make it better than his last. His films have already received some recognition and he plans on building on that.

The first film he directed under his production company My Fault Films, was acknowledged by the online community as the best short comedy and received a Myspace Emmy for Best Short Comedy. The film was titled “Lost My Car Key!” This success lead to him developing and producing several other projects.

Another film he worked on as an editor and colorist has been accepted to four Festivals this year. “Deddon”is a short action thriller that was shot on the Red Camera. The four Festivals it was accepted in, include the Beverly Hills Hi-Def Festival 2009, San Diego Black Film Festival 2009, The Hollywood Black Film Festival 2009, and Seattle’ True Independent Film Festival 2009.  This recognition is only the beginning of long career that Brandt has set in motion and he is grateful for everything that comes his way.
